What insurance do you carry?
I have public liability insurance covering £2 million for myself and my employees.

Do you give any guarantees?
My quality standards are very high, but in the very unlikely event of any sub-quality workmanship
(which has never happened to date) I am happy to guarantee to repair any problems that were
caused by my or my employees' fault in relation to the work quoted for. I have never had to return to
any job to repair any work I have undertaken as I always ensure that I do all work properly and to
last.

Is VAT payable?
It is not currently necessary to pay VAT on my work, making my prices much more competitive
than some larger firms.

Do you charge a fixed price or a daily rate?
Wherever possible I quote a fixed price for work specified, I find this gives the client peace of mind
that the price of will not escalate as work progresses. Occasionally clients ask for extra tasks to
be added to the list while work is in progress, and I always price these extra tasks fairly based on
the same pricing rates as the original quote.
From time to time it becomes clear during a job that extra work is required, for example if damp
is discovered once wallpaper has been removed. If this happens I will discuss the further
requirements and options with the client, and always confirm prices before progressing with
the work.

Do you provide materials/should I get them myself?
This is entirely up to you, I am happy to provide materials at trade cost price, or to discuss the
material requirements with you so that you can obtain them yourself. As an experienced
professional I have some preferences in materials to use, for example some paints provide much
better coverage, ease of use and value for money than others. I am happy to provide advice on
choosing the best materials.

Are materials included in the price?
I provide quotations for labour only, but am happy to provide a materials quotation on request.
